Remote access--NOT THERE

during my stereo install, i used various help from information on this board. thanks.

i found "djrobx's" wiring guide very helpful to identify varous wire in the harness. however, the remote access line was not working properly. when i initally used that line, the amp was just flickering with poping from the speaker. it' appears that maybe my car with NAV may have different mechanism. anyway, we eneded up tapping into the passenger cigarette lighter and brought it to the make to make it work...

Re: Remote access--NOT THERE

I'm not familiar with djrobx's guide, but I do have a Factory Service Manual.

I'm not sure what you mean by "remote access wire". I'm assuming you mean a wire that shoud tell your am to turn on or off. That should be Sky Blue or Green/Yellow. It should be Sky Blue in the trunk, and Green/Yellow up front.

Re: Remote access--NOT THERE

It's not the NAV because my car has NAV also. The car will turn off that lead if there is too much draw from it. I did measure it with a voltmeter and got the typical 12v out of it.
