I installed the XM oem kit in my sedan and am wondering if someone has a complete set of button fuctions for the oem head set. I can get thru to artist and title, but only see the 8 or 10 characters on the display...anyway to scroll the screen?

There is no way to scroll the text.

As you may have discovered, you can cycle through the channel number, channel name, artist, and title. And you can even set which of these four you want to default to.

Do you mean it never scrolls? Or just that you can't make it scroll by pressing a button? I have Sirius and have no problem seeing everything, but I remember reading somewhere where Sirius displays something like 32 chars. per song and XM is half that. Not sure of the exact numbers though...

 

The Infiniti XM radio unit does not support scrolling at all, and you will only ever see the first line of characters regardless of what the XM service is transmitting. The head unit has the capability (as can be seen with RDS), but the XM accessory does not utilize it.
