What all will i need to install this

Hello, I've joined the forums to ask this question after hearing about complications installing an aftermarket stereo. Here is my question.

If i install the Kenwood DNX7120, a double din navigation unit, what all besides the Metra center console replacement adapter would I need to purchase? I have an 03 Infiniti g35 coupe with the premium Bose factory system installed. I've tried researching on here but I find so many conflicting statements about what to buy especially when trying to retain the steering wheel controls. Will I need a filter to keep the bose sound quality clear, an adapter for the wiring harness, and any other parts to make this easy to install?

Thank you for your time, and anyone with a complete solution to all of the parts i need (links would be better but are not necessary) would be my hero!

Thanks again,
-Wes

To get the steering wheel controls to work you will need a PAC Swi-Jack, or their universal Swi-x they are steering wheel control interfaces.

If you are not using an aftermarket amp with aftermarket speakers, all you have to do is connect the blue wire from the metra harness to the blue/white on the kenwood harness. I'd reccommend using the 7550 harness as you will get a louder sound out of the factory speakers. Although you can't turn the bass/treble up high without possibility of distortion thus leading to blowing speakers.
You do not need filters.
I'm going to suggest that you try using the search function as it would have answered your question in a matter of minutes instead of waiting 12 hours for a response. Also I have answered this question on a number of occasions so I know you would have no problems finding your answer.

Thx for the response TroysG and yeah I saw the answers for installing Kenwoods using the search function but it seemed like some people had different answers. Like the filter for instance, I'm glad you said I don't need one because otherwise I'd of wasted money buying one. Sorry to waste your time but thank you for the speedy reply.

Peace

you weren't wasting my time, I don't mind helping out. I was just letting you know that the search function works fairly well for common questions
