Does anyone actually knonw how much power the bose amp puts oput to the front speakers in a sedan? Also I know Bose uses weird ohms, would it be ok to add just speakers and no new amp?

Re: Bose Power output

Each Bose speaker amplifier combo is equalized [frequency shaped] for the exact location and that speaker..........for example you cannot swap front and rear amps.

They set equalization for "relatively" flat response at the drivers ears with a front passenger in place.........lots depends on the peoples size/volume and the clothes they are wearing.

There is a STANDARD ACOUSTIC dummy with fleshy ears and two microphone inside placed in drivers seat........then the equalizers are designed by computer and built and plugged into amps.

Unfortunately people don't seem to want flat faithful reproduction of sound........boom boxes, sub woffers, and distortion!

Changing speakers wil be problematic.
