Hi Everyone,

Need advice on installing Satellite Radio on 2005 G35 Sedan with Standard OEM Bose. I know I will need to purchase the unit and an antenna but I have a few questions about how to install.

1. Do you have to remove the base unit from the dash?
2. How does the Satellite Radio unit connect?
3. I would like to install the antenna on the roof at the center rear of the vehicle ... is this hard to do?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

On coupes at least the connector for the Sat connector on the rear of the vehicle under the carpet near the amp for the bose system. It's just a straight in plug but I don't know if the Sat unit you're buying will be a plug and play. As for antenna mounting, I got no idea.

I checked the trunk of my 2005 G35 Sedan and cannot find a Satellite Connector. Gomd3 offered great information but evidently the coupe and Sedan connections are different or I just don't recognize the connector when I see it. Any suggestions?
