I just installed mine and have the iPod cable running up through the upper cubby, the little white box is sitting on top of the glovebox lower cover (the panel that pulls down above the passengers feet) so that I can access the AUX cables and adjust the PIN settings.

The panel I am talking about is in the attached picture it is called the "Lower Cover".

Not sure what kinda space is available under/behind the radio on a 2003, but on my 2005 6mt coupe, I have it tucked into a space under the stock radio, which is accessible by only removing the ashtray/shifter trim piece.

Also, you can get it cheaper... try going to google and search for "pa11nis" click on the link at the top top of the screen that is for the www.Mp3CarPros.com/PA11-NIS. The price is $109 with free shipping and the updated (5v) iPod connector. Don't go directly to the site as it will be more expensive, you need to go through google to get the special price. I got it for only $98 when they were running a sale.

Just unplug the car battery before you take it apart and leave it disconnected until it is all finished. I did that and did not have any codes or any problems.

yah keep in mind all you need is a flat head and philips screw driver should be only 10 screws you should be undoing. since you have a 6mt, twist it off and the shifter panal just pops off. as of the clock moldings i tired not to dent the dash so i pulled from the top near the windshield ( caution requires a lot of force to pop off) but there is one screw in there
