SCV operation

I can not tell any difference in volume with the SCV on low, medium high or off. It is supposed to change the volume with speed. Is there something wrong with my car or is the differnce in volume so small I can not notice the difference?

yes it changes the volume with speed. the higher level you go the more of a difference it makes. Try this, turn it on high and take a run upto 50 then slow down. as you're approaching a stop, somewhere under 10mph, you should notice that the sound level goes down. It's hard to notice when you accelerate but it's quite noticeable as you slow down. The volume quicky mutes. I don't know the exact speeds that activate it but I always notice that the volume drops after I get off a freeway.

Re: SCV operation

omg wow i was wondering why my volume did that lol.... i was seriously considering taking my car to the dealer because of the "problem" with my sound cutting out when i wasnt on the throttle. I thot it was a problem with the sterio not getting enough power or something. i guess when i get home today im gonan turn svc on LOW

You can turn it off too. I think it defaults to low. You shouldn't be able to miss it if it's set on High; it's very obvious. If it's not changing, take it to the dealer.

Re: SCV operation

when i had my stock headunit, i put it on medium and was satisfied with the effects. But with the windows down it needs to be on High.

The car's "speed pulse" wire is connected to the back of the headunit and so it adjusts volume based on speed.
