i have a viper alarm on my g35..i have the remote that looks like a cellphone with the car on it..once the battery died the light stopped working..i know you can program it i just dont know how..does anyone know how to program the light??

you mean the backlight on the remote? push all 4 buttons on the remote simultaneously until it beeps (setup mode), then push the unlock button, and wait for 2 more long beeps. you can also toggle vibrate (instead of beep) - by pushing the lock botton while in setup mode.

I've wanted to buy a good car alarm system for my G, and Ive searched on the forums and haven't really found any more recent threads on this subject. So if you don't mind can you tell me how you like your Viper system? Does Viper have its own siren sound or does it use the factory horn? Any suggestions on a system? I don't need the highest class protection but something moderate would be nice.

 

does the viper alarm come with shock senors? what about window break senors?

i have Python Responder 881XP with 2-way pager and remote start - also made by Clifford, same as Viper, basically same alarm, just branded differently. it does come with shock sensors, windows down/up function, trunk pop, trunk and hood sensors, and works perfectly - i've had it on the car for 6 years, no problems, besides the remotes dying once in a while (2 remotes failed, one of them was replaced on warranty, the other i bought on ebay and programmed myself).

 

i have the viper 791x and i love it, it does have sensors that goes off when some1 smashes ur windows, its awesome because u can add more sensors or features, i got the tilt sensor on it so hopefully it will ring off if someone tries to jack my rims i will be able to get to the car i highly recommend the alarm
