Carandtruckremotes.com

Hey guys!

I recently bought my 06 G35x, and man what a ride! Coming in from a 02 WRX, the G35 is a totally different beast, but I'm not complaining though. It has comfort, and it looks great!

Anyways when I bought my car from used-car lot, they only gave me 1 key and 1 alarm control FOB. I asked if they have a spare, sadly they said that that's all that the previous owner gave them. So, after hunting around here at the forums, plus getting a full quote at my local dealership for spare keys (more like, stealership actually, since they're charging an arm and a leg for everything), I came across this website: carnadtruckremotes.com.

I sent them some questions, and looking at their replies, looks to me like they are a legit business. So here's my question: anybody here ever bought some keys from this particular store? I would appreciate any input.

And btw, thanks to the mods for having me here. I'm not really big into posting at forums, most of the time I simply lurk, but I can tell that this is a cool place to hangout, with a lot of knowledgeable people populating this board.

BTW, if I posted this in the wrong board, I apologise, and please move this to its proper place.

CHeck this thread out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...Q5fAccessories

Ebay flip key/remote for $44.95, the same you are going to buy just the remote for: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...Q5fAccessories

The only thing you will be missing it the chip in the stock key that mates with the factory sensor in the ignition. You will probably still need to get a second factory key, have the chip programmed (at a locksmith) and put it in the flip key. I don't know if it is possible to buy the chip without a remote, you would have to look into that.

Hmm that looks pretty cool, thanks for the link.

But yeah the issue would be the electronic chip then. I'll have to start looking again if they sell these chips as an OEM part.

Or, if I really want to turn my key into a switchblade-style, I saw somebody here who sells the plastic housing along with the blank key, and just DIY the whole thing.

Well I sent another email to the store selling the spare keys, and yeah they do offer a 90-day money back policy. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger with these guys. I'll let everybody here know what happens next.

I bought the standard keyless entry for $20 shipped on ebay.
I think they are almost $100 at the dealer so thats a great deal.

Just type in the model number from the back of your keyfob to make sure they match

Just take the chip out of your factory key, then you don't have to get it programmed. That green thing at the bottom of your key is where the chip is, just pull it out.
