Systems setup
Systems setup
I was wondering if everyone who has upgraded their system to list their setups (amp, speakers, subs, etc), and also explain why you went with that setup (highs, lows, rap, techno, etc)
Reason being I want a general idea of what type of setup I want to go with based on everyone's input and suggestion. Thanks.

Re: Systems setup
I went with the Pioneer AVIC-N1 Nav/Mp3/DVD/Entertainment/Rearview system because i wanted EQ controls and Navigation and MP3 playback and DVD Video playback.
Total cost about $2200
The stock speakers sound good when paired with a good headunit. I listen to techno, alternative, and some pop.... havent listened to rap in a while but if you are a rap person you will need a subwoofer for sure...

Re: Systems setup
My very first impression of the Bose system in my 03 coupe was that it lacked highs. The treble function on the radio was unable to compensate for it. It just didn't seem to go up beyond 0. Interestingly my Mom got an 04 coupe and it doesn't have that problem at alll and her treble function seems to work normally, must be a radio difference. But anyway that caused me to go out and buy a line output converter and get an EQ and aftermarket amps in. At that point I figured I might as well add real subs and better components since I've always enjoyed having a good system in the car. I'm glad I did because subs really sound awesome in this car. I listen primarily to techno, pop, and rock/heavy metal.
