How can you tell if a g35 coupe has XM radio option?

How can you tell if a g35 coupe has XM radio option?



Will it have an extra SAT button? or what?

Or what if it doesn't have it, how can you get it pre-ready? Is it expensive?

If it's 04 or later, it should be pre-wired and have a "SAT" button the radio. You just add an XM receiver to the trunk and plug into existing wiring if it doesn't already have one. If it's 03, it probably won't be pre-wired if there's no "SAT" button.

I'm thinking that when I checked with my Nissan dealer it was going to cost around $450 in parts?? I have an 04 with the SAT button, but missing the double shark fins...

Check Everythingg35.com - they might have the (Clarion) receiver for less. I recall getting mine for around $280 back in Dec of '04. And you don't need the "shark fins" - you can just get a regular satellite antenna and mount it on the rear package shelf - that should cost anywhere from $15-$50 depending on the type of antenna you get.

look for the "XM" antena on top or look for the SAT button in the car

Is XM free now?I bought an '04 coupe 2 weeks ago and it has SAT and tunes into XM. I wasn't sure if it was still subscription based or not.

It's not free. Either the last person had a lifetime subscription or you're listening to some demo station they occasionally run.

No, it is not free. You will have to pay for a subscription at some point.
