There's an annoying flag with the letter S next to the landmark for my home. Does anyone know what this is and if there is a way to get rid of it? Thanks.

 

Is it the "Start" flag? If so, it's the place from which you started your last navigated journey. I totally forget how to erase it, but I know you can. Try putting in a destination, then cancelling the navigation. It might clear it... not 100% sure.

it might be the icon set for your house. I know for mine i have a hotel looking icon.

Geo's right, it's the start flag. Start the navigation from a new destination and the flag won't be at your house anymore.

 

to clear go to CANCEL DESTINATION, click YES. And all the flags are gone

 

Thanks, it was gone after I put in a bogus trip and canceled it.

I don't think it's true that all flags disappear if you cancel destination. The trip had been completed and the flag was still marking the starting point. You would think the flag should disappear though.

It was strange today when I put in that bogus trip and then immediately canceled it. The navigation kept instructing me on the trip and nothing would happen when I pushed cancel from then on. When I turned off the car and brought the nav up again, I was finally able to cancel.

 

Hmmm, that's odd. Whenever I enter a destination and then I either complete it or don't complete it, I stop(b/c i dont have the modded Navi switch yet) then hit cancel, Cancel ALL destinations, and then click yes when it asks " are you sure", it clears all the little flags. B/c to me they're annoying after you've used the Navi

 

FYI, in the address book, you can change the icons for each stored location. For example, if you don't like the "hotel" icon, you could change it to a little house. (I know, this has nothing to do with the little flag!)
