Dude congrats, I'm jealous i love my 8120 but can't imagine what the nicer GUI and resolution would be like -- let us know how the voice recognition works!

Shop did it for $1800 out the door tax included. Everything i got was...

-DNX9140
-Harness
-Antenna Adapter
-PAC Jack
-301v Ipod Cable
-Installation

Price also ncludes the shops lifetime guarantee on install as well as the 2 year Kenwood warranty on the 9140. Shop is also going to do the bypass mod as well so i can watch DVDs while in drive. So all and all it was a good day Now i just cant wait to get it installed!

Holy crap! So much for staying within the $1200 price range, eh?

Enjoy it! I'm just finishing up my 7140 install. I'm hoping to be enjoying my new system this weekend. Just wish my damn sub would get here!

Haha yeah tell me about it. I think i went a little overboard but i figure it is something that i will be using on pretty much a daily basis for the next few years and this is a better investment than the rims i was going to buy seeing is how my tires are still brand new practically. Subs will be next on my list down the road. I also couldnt pass the price of the 9140. I have yet to find it cheaper than $1700 and i got the head unit for $1399.

I think you did just fine with the price considering it just came out and you're getting the shop to install it for you and back the warranty... post pics after friday
