Hey guys, I've been trying to find a place that sells the avn2454 in the bay area, but its proving a lot more difficult than I originally expected. So far out of the 15 stores i've called, only good guys and stereo plus carry it. Does anyone here know any other places close to the mountain view area that sells this model for a good price?

only authorized eclipse dealers sell and install anything eclipse.. I have never seen a circuit city or goodguys carry eclipse or most of the high end products..

actually, Good Guys is an authorized seller and installer for Eclipse products. They are one of your "higher end" audio retailers. They also carry JL stuff, dynamat, and Monster Cables...something you won't find at a Best Buy or Circuit City.

The AVN2454 is $2300 + tax at Good Guys...too much for my blood

if you dont know something, dont even join the conversation!
i agree that Circuit City sucks, but Good Guys carries high end ish...

also the fact that you say only authorized Eclipse dealers carry and install Eclipse is totally false... alot of places carry and install Eclipse, its just not under Eclipses warranty...

Actually I went in yesterday and ordered the avn at stereo plus for 1.9k installed. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. Just waiting on double din to come in..... =/

 

ok... MAKE SURE they plug in the speed and reverse wires... some mom/ pop shops wont do this!!! it makes the job much much easier to not install these wires because they may be hard to find... did you get the pac interface for steering wheel controls?? its a must, but there IS a one-second lag...

pac interface? haven't heard of it, tried doing a search but didn't find much...care to explain? Oh, and just to make sure, the speed wire helps the GPS locate you better and reverse wire is for if you want to add on a reverse cam? Also, does grounding the handbrake wire work on the eclipses as well? Thanks for the help
