so i've installed a pioneer avic d1 into my 04 g-coupe. my problem is that i have no sound....does anyone know what im missing here..i've tried i thought was everything, but i'm lost know. any information will help. also should i just buy a new amp, cuz i heard that makes a good difference. thanks...

 

wow... where to begin:
1) Do you have bose? If so, what metra kit did you use (7550 vs 7551)
2) Is this a new or used D1? Did you hear it work in the previously vehicle if it was used?
3) What sources are you using? Radio/CD/IPOD?
4) Did you energize the antenna wire? If no sound (and bose) you will not power up the Bose amplifier and no sound (blue/white wire on the metra harness -- you can piggy back the blue and bluewhite wires on the metra harness to the blue/white output from the Pio harness
5) If you're just trying Ipod, are you sure you connected the RCA's tot he back of the headunit? Just connecting the usb will not do it
6) This is a great start... waiting to hear ya chime in with tons more details.

 

i have a bose system. if the number you mean is the model number for the metra kit i have 99-7604. its a used D1 that i bought from someone on the forum. and i'm trying to use the cd. anything else letme know..

 

What about the other 6 questions above?

I mean the model # for the metra harness kit (not the center console finisher/trim kit).

Did you energize the blue white wire and the blue wire?
