Do you know what the pre-out voltage is on that unit?

If it is > 4.0volts, then I recommend the Metra kit with the RCA plugs (70-7551)

http://www.amazon.com/Metra-TurboWires-70-7551-Wiring-Harness/dp/B0007WTF5C http://www.amazon.com/Metra-TurboWires-70-7551-Wiring-Harness/dp/B0007WTF5C

If it is less than 4.0Volts pre-out, then I recommend the 70-7550 Metra.

I wonder if the connector on your pioneer is a little loose. How are you connecting the wires from your pre-out to your 7551?

916 G35. look at the subwoofer settings on the deck because you chose the 7551 harness the rear outputs are probably being sent as subwoofer signals meaning they might be getting neglected by the cross over in the amp
