Hands Free Bluetooth... does it work for anyone?

Mine has never worked. People can't hear me on the other end, never have been able to since day one.

Finally I called Infinity today and they said this is a pretty common thing, that they can replace the parts.

Has anyone had this problem, had the parts replaced and had it fixed?

06 g35 sedan... trying to decide if I want to keep it or turn it back in- it's a lease.

Mine has worked flawlessly in 2 different Infinitis with my RAZR and my Blackberry. Love that feature, especially having a manual tranny.

Good to know... hopefully the parts replacement will fix the issue.

Do you have a coupe or sedan? What years were the two infinities?

I posted this in the wrong section on accident. I have a friend who has the 2007 sedan and hers seems to work good also.

I always find if I disconnect my blue tooth thru my phone. That I can't reconnect, unless I go thru the whole setup process again. That's so annoying.

So I have to keep my bluetooth on my phone, on always. Unless someone knows a way around that?? I'd appreciate that.

Yep mine works pretty well. Windows usually have to be mostly up and I do have to speak louder than I normally would into the microphone near the sunroof...but I find it to work pretty well overall. Great feature.

Mine is horrible... Its the same problem, that no one can understand me when I'm talking. I haven't been able to find any little tricks that help. It seems like its the worst when I'm driving on the highway, but I usually end up having to turn off the blue tooth mid call and talk on the actual phone, which is extremely difficult and dangerous considering I have a 6mt.

I have an LG Voyager (which is a piece of crap to begin with) and verizon service so i'm not sure if that ties into it or not.

I have an 06 coupe, so its not the body style.... anyone know if its just related to the high amount of road noise or what? I'd also really like to get this fixed

i used it a few times but its mostly annoying, all it does is "sorry you cant do this sh*t while the car is moving" oh thanks a lot, i guess i'll just stare down at my phone and type with my hands off the wheel, yep, i'm a lot safer now! Thanks Nissan!

Found after I did the 'voice training' it seems to understand me better with my voice commands. I always have to speak louder than normal and point my voice up to the mic by sunroof to be heard well by other party (basically take eyes off road to talk ). Bad placement of mic imho.

OP, what parts are the dealer replacing? (maybe better mic...)

I asked the lady what they replaced.. is an upgrade, or simple replacement parts. She didn't know she was just the scheduler. All she could say was that she had seen several come in with bluetooth issues.

I think it's a combo of bad mic location and road noise, but we will see.

^Cool thanx. Let us know if better. If so, I'm all over that upgrade while still under warranty.

Mine works although most people can't hear me that well.
I even run a phone that's only available overseas, so I'm lucky it paired up well with it.
But even my previous phone (blackberry curve) while it paired up, people still couldn't hear me well either.

Will do...

I did a test today with one of my pickiest fans, the woman in my life, and she could here me perfectly. The catch... I was driving on a smooth road not over 40 mph.

It was just one test but I plan on doing more..

Haha... just used mine for ~30 min call. Windows rolled up, fwy 60-70 mph, road surface varied smooth/slight ruff, had to border-line yell at mic to be heard well. My throat's sore now lol -_-
