QUESTION ABOUT JL AUDIO AND custom box
So i had a custom box done with a flush panel looks pretty clean will post pics later not to fond with the emblem though its too much for me anyways
I got the jl audio 12w0 for a steal price from buddy 2 x12s for 100$ lol he needed the money and time are rough etc..
The box and air space "could only work one speaker" because its "pressed for space."
so the set up
he got it firing down i just checked it myself
1 jl audio 12W0
??MTX amp
1 custom box with - ? measurement
QUESTION:
does a JL 12W3 sound like it may work?? cause i cant really jump so big on the length or else i have to get another box remade for $$$ reasons i not trying to spend
AND..
WHAT MEASUREMENTS ARE IN THE JL 12W0 so i can look around for a better speaker

A sub will work in a tighter than spec eclosure, but you may not like the sound. And you will most likely have to compensate for the tighter box with a little more power. Currently I have two Alpine Type R 12's in 0.7 cu/ft sealed enclosures. These speakers displace a 'lot' of space in the box, more so even than the Eclipse SW6210 12's I had. It still hits hard and tight. I used polyfil to dampen the box and noticed an immediate difference, so that may be something to add if you are pressed for airspace since it tricks the sub into thinking it has more space as it dissipates energy inside the box. All you can do really is hook it up, see how it sounds and go from there.
