Metra Double Din Kits
Hey guys,
So I'm going to change my stock HU with an aftermarket one and I'm struggling on what double din I should get. The JDM one is way to pricey in my opinion. There is metra one for about $160 on ebay. link--> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...#ht_3091wt_828
Does anyone have a metra kit? If so, is anyone satisfied with it? Pros and cons of it.

ugh
my metra kit is having problems after 3 weeks of no problems. cartoys even replaced it and it still continued not work. ie the LED's flash, buttons dont work, stuck on 60 degrees. ... dont get stingy on a kit like i did
unless your car is an 03-04, you wont be installing your head soon. no one has any 05-07 dashes right now. the metra looks like **** and from the pictures ive seen it doesnt resemble the factory trim. tony on riverside has them on backorder and mynismo.com is telling me at least 60-90 days and grubs had it listed out of stock. i did manage to find a dual control ac unit though. i just got a pioneer avic-f700bt off of someone on my350z but i looks like i wont be able to install it until around december.
^i dont think ill be in florida anytime soon haha.
but heres a pic of the headunit installed in my G

sounds like your installer is to good to call metra customer support
on the back of the a/c controls there are 4 screws
remove the screws
There will be a plastic jumper that needs to be removed
remove that and your ac will work
I have the metra kit and it looks ok to me
I guess some people like it and some just dont

What year is your car? Where'd you get the kit and for how much? The aluminum part matches the factory finish with no gaps?
just need to whine...
