Hi,

We've had the AC/radio issue for more than a year with our G35 2003 Sedan (radio could only be controlled from steering wheels and AC was stuck at the previous temperature). A couple of months ago, we could not control the radio from the steering wheels anymore.

Yesterday we had a Kenwood DD installed with a Metra kit by a professional installer. The radio works fine but the AC is still not responding, it is still stuck at 22(C).

My husband is going crazy with this because the reason we went and had our HU replaced was to get our temparature control back since winter is coming and we need the defrost.

I thought by replacing the audio it would fix everything since audio and ac share the same circuit board. Anyone with a suggestion what the issue could be?

have you pulled the back off the ac controls on the metra kit?

there are 4 screws remove them

then look inside for a plastic jumper, remove it

reinstall

hopefully that will fix it

 

the installer said the issue is not with the jumper. he said if we had an issue with the ac b4 then chances are that we'll have issue with it after also???

We've spent a lot of times online looking for a solution for this ac/radio issue and never saw anyone replacing their HU and still have the same issue with the ac.

 

Have you had the dealer check it out and just tell you whats wrong?

 

he doesn't know what is wrong. he said he's never seen that issue.

 

Take it to another dealer then. Thats their job to figure these cars out...
