Zenesis VS Viper

hey, im in the market for an alarm/starter combo and was wondering which one to go withh. The zenesis 501 or the viper 5901. They both seem pretty similar in features. The zenesis remote looks abit better i think and it also comes with the z-pass ( alows u to unlock doors with the pass)

here are links for both of them

Zenesis: http://www.zenesisalarms.com/zn502.htm

Viper: http://www.viper.com/P-5702V/Viper-5...e-Start-System

the viper is more expensive then the zenesis, i can get the zenesis for 200 and i can get the viper for like 240

pros and cons on both systems, any personal experiences and advice would be appreciated

I was in the same boat, and then decided on getting a viper 5902 since DEI has a very long reputation in making solid alarms. Its only about $100 more and the incredible OLED screen just amazed me. Check it out.

just get the viper, you can add so many AUX inputs. Pain inducer (piezo tweeter), tilt sensor, window roll up, iphone remote, etc. You can get it from ebay for $330 shipped using 8% bing cashback, plus get another $7 with 2% ebay bucks for a total of $323. This alarm retails for $800 @ Best buy so its a great deal.

Yep saw the vids on it, I love new gadgets . Just ordered one from the ebay link you posted, lol. I've been meaning to get an alarm with remote start since I first saw the 5901 and $330 for the 5902 is a great price, thanks . I get my new wheels in December, would the tilt sensor be good to help prevent theft?

yes, tilt sensor would. Just keep your alarm remote close to you since its 2 way. When your alarm goes off, you will be alerted on your remote which sensor was activated (tilt sensor, shock sensor, etc).

Cool, thanks. Now I gotta read up on how to make it work with my car, since I have the keyless entry with the intelligent key, something about a bypass kit.....

im not gonna need trhe 4 aux channels, 2 at the most which the zenesis has. I personally cant justify paying 100 more for just the remote in the 5902 so im kinda leaning towards the zenesis. Anyone have experience with it yet?
