New G35 owner, has a few audio questions about HD and Ipod

Hello everyone,

This is my 1st post. I recently purchased a sweet 2006 g35 and I have a few questions.

I was a little shocked when i found out how bad the bose system sounded in my car. I am looking to do a few simple cheap upgrades like adding HD and Ipod to my stock Bose.

I was wondering if anyone has tried or knows about this combo unit Peripheral iSimple PXAMG/HDRT/PGHNI1 Nissan/Infiniti HD Radio/iPod Adapter Combo Kit ??

Has anyone added an HD adapter to their car? If so, what are your thought?
and what one did you use?

I like the idea of buying it all at once(HD+Ipod) adapter.

I would appreciate any help you can offer me,

Thanks,

Looks like a good way to go, especially if there's a lot of HD radio stations in your area.

I don't see any mention of whether the steering wheel controls work for the iPod, so be prepared if it doesn't work.

Thanks Wrathernaut

Thanks Wrathernaut,

My favorite stations are available in HD here in Dallas. I found a website that list the HD stations in some of the major US cities.

http://www.morefreeradio.com/More_Free_Stations.html

I will try and find out if you can control the iphone via the steering well controls.

This seem like a great combo so i really appreciate your feedback.

Thanks,

One other thing to keep in mind, is the fragility of the stock radio. $200 dropped into add-ons for it now is money that could go towards a new one with HD radio, better iPod functionality and a plethora of other goodies.
