Hack into Navi?

Hi,

Is it possible to hack into the navi system and hook up a DVD player so that my friends can watch a movie while a drive? Or maybe even a PS2 or XBOX?

Also, what type of monitor is it?

thanks.

Re: Hack into Navi?

Hi there....
Before someone else comes back and slams you for not using the search feature - I will let you know that you are interested in something like the AV Electronic unit or the soon to be released PAC Video input unit.

I am a dealer for both, so if you have questions - let me know. Otherwise you should visit www.avelectronic.com and www.pac-audio.com for more info.

Wow, that was the laziest post I've ever seen in my entire life. It's right in front of your eyes doesah.. please at least look at the forum before you post any of your questions.

So...I see that instead of answering the question you would rather sit back and judge...

WOW that was the fastest overreaction I've ever seen!

If you looked through my post thoroughly, you would have seen that the thread topic with your answer is on there.....

Re: Hack into Navi?

Suggestion: I can understand the frustration of seeing the same questions over and over. But, if you are going to reply to a question with a "Use the search" post, please also include links to existing threads and help point people in the right direction, or simply don't reply at all.

The reason is simple: Your post is going to show up when people search for answers, making it significantly harder for people to find what they're looking for when someone actually does use the search! I wanted to help in this respect, but I spent about 20 minutes looking through a sea of posts that contain AVElectronic and couldn't find a single good thread to link to. While you may recall reading several threads pertaining to the topic, you'd be surprised how often answers are difficult to find using the search feature, even when you know what thread you're looking for.

So, can someone please link to a good informative thread that clearly answers this question?

Since it seems to be a commonly asked question, maybe we should make a FAQ and point people to it. Perhaps a new topic in the FAQ section would be useful? (search for AVElectronic in the FAQ section results in "No matches.").

Re: Hack into Navi?

I’ve seen four different solutions discussed here ranging in price from $150 to $575.

AVElectronics is the most popular
https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...view=&sb=&vc=1

http://www.avelectronic.com

Pac has a device due out this month
https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...d&sb=5∂=

There’s one that gets rid of the nav-nag
https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...d&sb=5∂=

And I’ve also seen a post (I think here) for just hooking up a simple $150 rgb to vga converter which requires cutting 4 wires. If anyone has a link to that, please post it here.

Hope that helps.
