After-Market GPS & DVD In-dash???

So, I just bought this 2006 G35 6-speed yesterday, and I am wanting a clean look, without having th Garmin cords, radar detector cords, xm-radio cords all over. I found (and already ordered) the below in-dash kit from Crutchfield to fit mynew Pioneer DVD & Nav system. Has anyone had any experience with this before?

Also, the plastic headlight cover/lens are foggy and seemed like this headlight restoration kit would work well... anyone with experience with this either?

Thanks fellas.

Paying less for a Metra (the one on Crutchfield's site) is like somebody giving you money to ruin the clean look of your interior.

If you want a clean look, cancel that order immediately.

Metra does not look stock.

Get a JDM DD kit from Riverside Infiniti directly or through their eBay auctions.

Headlight restoration kits work well on these cars.

Good job. The JDM version looks great and is worth the extra money in my opinion.

So I wanted to share with you guys the Pioneer system with the JDM DD kit... it wasn't cheap but well worth the $$$ on ebay to make it look clean.

Glad it turned out well. Looks awfully familiar to what's in my wife's car.

Looks great! Did you do the install on it yourself? Also how much was the cost for everything in total?

Not including the headunit, you can do it yourself rather easily for about $400
JDM DD - ~$320
Trim ring to fill gap - $12
PAC steering wheel control adapter - $45
Harness - $0 - $40

See my sticky at the top of the forum if you need to know sources for parts and how-to information.

Awesome Collection of Pics/info for the Double Din Guide.

Only thing I would add is that the dimmer wire is Red with Blue Stripe on a separate radio harness for an 05-06 G sedan (Not sure about 03-04). Digging through a bunch of threads I found that out, but I never saw it stickied. I verified it this week by doing it for my headunit. Works perfectly

Thanks for your contribution!
