Double Din! Kenwood or Pinoneer????
Its between this one:
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...DNX-9140-.html
And this one:
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...IC-Z110BT.html
I need professional advice from someone that knows headunits...please
With either of these units, will there be ample power and ablities to run more speakers and subs?
Which of the two do you feel has better features?
Thanks
I will make a decision and order the right one on monday morning and hopefully get this bad boy installed next weekend

The pioneer is the cnet best radio. So it can't be a bad choice. And its cheaper. Amazon.com also has it cheaper than that website.

I think the Z110 is a better bet, since the Z120 software upgrade should be out soon.
The 9140 on the other hand, is being superseded by the 9960, which definitely won't be just a software upgrade away from having the flagship unit.
The iPod interface on the Pioneer is superior to the Kenwood, but I'll give navigation points to the Kenwood.
The rest of the interface is a little better on the Pioneer.

wow looks like either way i go im getting a good unit. as far as navi and iPod interface goes....i would be using the ipod attachment much more than the navi system. so for me that is more important.
i have seen and herd great things about both systems. I have also owned only pioneer and kenwood units in the past so i tryst both of their products.
wrathernaut--> software upgrades are a plus. is that something i will have to buy or download from the internet?
TsHdon--> i too have found it cheaper but the website that i posted was just a good comparison of the two systems. Thanks bro

Ive used both and its really a toss up
If you want to save a little bit of money then go with the Pioneer, you will be more than happy
As stated above, the Kenwood has garmin maps and the POIs are great.
Pioneer has great POIs also but not as many as the Garmin.
You can also load .csv files for red light camera locations, not a huge deal, but when you come within 1/4 mile of a red light camera you will get an audible and on screen notice. there are also other .csv files you can load so when you pass by say a walmart, you will get a notification. I have mine set for red light cameras and speed traps.
Also to me it seems like the 9140 just sounds better, the pioneer sounds good also, but the 9140 just has a better sound, to me at least. 13 band eq for front and rear and also time alignment.
The Pioneer has 3D building view which is really helpful in a new city or new area.

You'll probably have to pay for the software upgrade, but sometimes there are ways around it. Pioneer's done key numbers that have to be entered onto their site online to activate, so it's harder than it once was to get around.
