Installing the Kenwood DNX 9140 DD Tomorrow!!!

well here it is:

I got all the goodies too!

Question for the those who have this model or similar DD's

How do you get the black trim peice that comes with the DD to fit inside the JDM DD dash? Mine is about 1/8inch to big to fit.

as you can see when you try and fit the black trim behind the dash kit its too big...

do i just sand down the fit kit that came with the DD? Or do i have the wrong one?

Dremel makes everything fit.

Seal it into place with hot melt glue. High temp, or it'll fall off in the summer heat.

My installer mounted the mic up by the card slot above the door. Didn't do Sirius.

I put the mic so it sits between the sunglass compartment and the rear view mirror. It works great to pick up both passenger and driver.

well guys i got some done today, haha. I was able to remove the OEM radio very easy in about 15min.

I was able to put together the new radio and new DD dash trim kit together also, with some modifications to make it flush.

heres the babe sitting in the living room

Now comes the tricky part...i know how to install the sirius, the navi, the ipod cable, the mic, and a few other misc things, but here are the wires i dont know how to install, and ill go over each one:

ok so the two below hook up directly to the car (thats a given)

and i believe they somehow splice into these wires (see below)

here a pic of the three togther:

do i just match up the colors, because if i do many of the wires are not used and are left out...

ok heres the rear view camera, as you can see it came with 2 wires. At the end of the camera is a yellow and red input/output sort of thing. And then there is a second wire that i have no clue what to do with....
