Where is the XM receiver located exactly? Please help

Hi,

I am planning on buying either the USA SPEC Pa15-NIS or Pa15-INFI for my 2003 G35 coupe with navi and XM satellite and BOSE speakers.

I know that if I buy the -NIS, I have to unplug the satellite connector(pls. correct me if Iam wrong) to install the interface behind the radio and lose the satellite radio.

But if I buy the -INFI, I will have to install it to the XM satellite receiver. But I have a few questions though:

-Where is the XM receiver located exactly and how do I access it?
I read on the USA spec website that it is located under the rear left floor, but that is kinda vague for me.
-Is the cable from the interface long enough for me to be able to put my ipod anywhere near the radio?
-Or should I just get the -NIS instead and lose the satellite?

Thanks for all your help!

If it is similar to the sirius receiver, it's located in the trunk, under the plastic housing to the left of the spare tire.

Thanks..

If that is the case, then I guess I would have to remove the rear seats to install the PA15-INFI.

Which one do you think is easier to install the Pa15-INFI or the Pa15-NIS?

IMO, the NIS is easier because you don't have to run the connection cable all the way from the truck to the center console (or wherever you plan to put your phone).

I have the Nissan iPod adapter in my sedan and I don't like it. It is difficult to control the ipod with it. I use the tape cassette adapter.

^ yah, the factory one is not very good. Get the USA-spec version. It retains all your steering wheel controls, displays titles/artists on headunit, and allows you to directly choose songs from your ipod/phone should you choose to do so.
