HELP:Adding amp to stock HU WITHOUT bose????

Just got a new 2006 G Coupe(without Bose)... Im looking to install my JL 250/1 slash amplifier to push my JL W3V3. The stock HU is still installed, so Im asking for advice as to what type of harness or converter I will need to purchase in order to connect the RCA cables from my amp to the HU.... Thanks in advance.

Yeah, that's a great thread , but nothing in that thread for adding an amp to the stock headunit though. Still I agree that adding a double din unit is the best way to get a clean signal to an amp in our cars.

But the OP doesn't seem to be up to that yet.

Since you got a fancy-shmancy amp with "Signal-Sensing Turn-On: permits operation without remote lead", but no speaker-level inputs (not so fancy now, are ya?), all you need is a line output converter. Connect that to the rear speakers and that'll give you your audio signal.

The worst part will be running the power wire from the battery to the trunk, but still, quite doable.
