need help with wiring harness -- bose

I am trying to install the metra double din kit on a 2003 G35 sedan w/ bose stereo. I got the a/c controls to work buy I'm having no luck with the radio. I am using a JVC kd-ahd69 with the metra 70-7551. The radio does not turn on at all and I tried pushing the reset but with a paperclip.

I have never done an aftermarket radio install before so I will list what wires I connected on the harness so hopefully someone can help me. I have the ground from the headunit connected to the black "gnd" wire on the harness. Accessory is connected to red, illumination is connected to orange, battery is connected to yellow, and "remote (max 200mA) is connected to blue with white line. I have only listed the colors on the metra harness but the colors for the headunit wires are basically the same so I thought I was doing it right.

Also, it seemed like my factory radio completely died (steering wheel controls would not even work) a few days before the install. I checked the audio fuses by the driver seat and the battery but they seemed ok. I know this is a long post but I hope you can help....thanks

I just did another (my own, finally) install with the 70-7551 harness.

Connect the following:
Black ground from the harness.
"AMP Ground" from the 70-7551.
Black Ground from the factory harness.
Tie these three together and ground them to the body, and you should have no problems.

Edit - I uploaded the video showing how I have this, which includes audio proof that it does work with full-volume audio.

not quite sure what you mean. I have wrapped the three wires together but I thought the other end of the factory harness already ground. still doesn't work. Should I get a multimeter to check that I am actually getting power?
