what to do with the rosewood...

I'm somewhat at a crossroad. I have a 05 with OEM navi and the rosewood trim (wood trim). I know there is no JDM kit for the rosewood nor has ANYONE bothered to make on since its rare.

I know one guy dremeled his OEM wood faceplate and went that route. This would be option A for me. Only reason why i'm holding back is the thought of me converting back to factory radio and selling the car, It would be/ is right now near impossible to find a rosewood radio trim at a FAIR price. Dealership wants $205 + tax. If i can get this for $35-50 i would be happy.

Option B. Convert over to the alum trim all around. Well not really all around, but NAVI control, ASH Tray and AT shifter trim. This would them match the DD JDM trim and not have any issues. Kinda hard to find a cheap price but there is a lot more there and places i can slowly peice together VS rosewood radio trim.

Option C. Cheap and tacky ( subjectively) I can install the silver JDM trim with the OEM rosewood trim and have it CF wrapped or vinyl stuff that has been floating around this and the BMW boards. This would most likely ONLY cost me $100 in parts a labor. Give it a DIFFRENT look. I'm neutral right now to the rosewood. Hopefully it is reversible, if not i guess i can wrap the OEM radio.

Right now i picked up a JDM non dual control and silver trim because i had a local deal for cheap. I have a dual climate system but rarely use it. GF used it like 5 times in the past year. Not a breaking point for me.

Looking for feedback and suggestions on what i should do. Use the WOOD, run with the aluminum or go CF wrap.

Have you looked around for vinyl adhesive that matches the rosewood? If you can get a square foot of it, you're set.

Is a great place to start.

I don't think many places would have it in stock, but it's $20. Live dangerously.

Whichever you do, be sure to take plenty of comparison photos for people in the same situation.
