IPOD cable and SWI need same aux port....now what?

To keep this simple and straight I need another aux jack. On the rear of the p4200dvd head unit there is only one aux jack port. I'm referring to what the PAC SWI connects to and the CD-IU200V connects to. Both of those require that aux jack port and there is only one of them.....Is there another way I can setup the IPOD cable (CD-IU200V) and the PAC SWI? There must be some alternative or else they wouldn't just put one aux jack port in the back of one of the newest headunits available today....All help is appreciated.

Exclamation You're doing it wrong.

It pays to RTFM. Installation manual, page 5:

If you need more length on the USB side of the iPod cable, use the USB extension cable included with the 4200DVD where the green arrow goes.

Well funny thing is I read all the manuals last night from the first page to the last. The arrow you have for the PAC SWI pointing to the reciever your pointing to the remote control ports, the exact words from page 5 say, "Wired remote input, Hard-wired remote control adaptor can be connected." Those two ports (one on top of the other) says its for the remote control that I could of purchased.

Now that I think of it the steering wheel sort of is like a remote control....i'm assuming your telling me that the PAC SWI will work as a remote control module when connected to the remote control ports on the right instead of the aux port that the IPOD cable uses. I'll give it a try and if it works thanks for the answer to my question.

I guess R'ing TFM doesn't mean you'll understand the stuff between the lines.

Yes, the PAC SWI is a wired remote, and that's how it works.

Good luck and don't forget to post install pics!

Oh, and you know I've got a video in the shopping/resource list showing how to program it, right? That part seems to confuse more people than where to plug it in.

Yeah the programing part is very simple but when it comes to wiring and electrical components I am far from an expert. But if you want to talk about engines and mechanical aspects of any platform I can talk about it all day. I'm a diesel mechanic specialist and I don't deal with a lot of wiring/electrical complexities. Thanks for the info though.
