My installed stereo

Here is pics of what I did to my 2004 coupe g35 with factory nav and factory bose. The install was not too hard, I had no experience and did it in 5 hours. The toughest thing for me was the connecting of wires, so I would have an installer do that if unfamiliar with wiring. Installed a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT, ran the Bluetooth wire across the top panel, down the door trim and into the dash. I got the JDM dash kit, the JDM climate control, and re-soldered the dual climate zone in. I used the PAC SWI for pioneer deck and the Metra 70-7551 wiring harness. Lastly I got the DPDT for the factory nav.

hey nice job.

im doing the standard AVH3200DVD later on this week using the JDM trim a/c controls as well.

do you have a gap between the HU and the trim? i may have to make another EZ felt gasket around there. (had to do the same on the 3100 install on my 370Z)

Thanks! There was a small gap between the HU and the trim, i got a trim ring to make it fit a little better.

King: do you have a manual or automatic?

Ya i saw the automatic too, i never figured out how to get the shift **** off, i just turned it so the piece was out of the way, it moved just enough to fit the trim in and out

thx erral, going to orderup the trim ring for now just in case.

to remove the MT shift **** you need to pull up the boot ring, use vise grips on the shaft + radiator hose on the ****'s stem + channel locks or large wrench. 99% of the time the stock **** will get damaged though... so try working on your stereo without removing it. place a towel or use painter's tape on the console not to scratch it.

on my 6MT im already using TWM **** so very easy to remove.

Erral, did you follow the DPDT relay guide for nav voice from my FAQ? If so, I was hoping you had part numbers and pictures of the soldered up relay and video of it working to add to the FAQ section.

I never did mine, since I greatly prefer the Z110BT's voice and navigation.

And congrats on a very clean install, that looks great!

i might decide and use the 4200 instead... not sure yet.

not sure about the big deal on removing the clock trim. yes it was tight but not as tight as
removing my Honda Fit's factory HU...

Clock trim piece can be tricky if not careful. The clips that hold it in place sometimes break.

^^ yah, that is possible considering the quick tug. i just pinched the top of the clock trim pulled out the left side, then the bottom, then the right side top. if the tab breaks you can double up on 3M mounting tape and push the tab into the hole.

one of my buddies is going to sell me his like-new 4100 so bought that. he's taking it off his car tonight. he got a great deal from that amazon 30%-off sale on a new HU he's been wanting to upgrade to.

so looks like my 3200DVD is going to be returned...unless i decide to put it in my dd...
