Re: navi problems

What kind of navi do you have?

Are you saying the navi was just installed?

Re: navi problems

After about a year of reading several G35 forums, I have NEVER heard of anyone installing the stock navigation system in a G35 after it was manufactured. Are you saying you have that on your car??

There have been a couple of posts recently about blank screens. What happens if you press the "D/N" button?

When the screen is blank, does anything work? What happens when you press info?

You can see if the navi system is still working by pressing "Dest", Press "Enter" on the joystick, Press "Enter" on the joystick again, then wait about 5 seconds and Press "Enter" on the joystick again. That will tell it to take you "Home", and the directions should start shortly.

I wonder if there is a wire that is loosly connected to the screen?

Re: navi problems

My screen is working now; however, it is still not following me when I travel. Does this mean that my antenna is not working properly or something. Thanks for the help by the way

Re: navi problems

The stock navi uses two methods to keep your position correct on the map. First, it gets information from the GPS antenna that is in the dash. It also uses speed data to fill in the gaps from the GPS.

If it looks like you are not moving, neither of those imputs are making it to the unit. Sounds like time to make sure all the wires are connected correctly.

Could you post pics of your install?
