so i was driving home this after noon and listening to the radio and randomly my radio shuts off.. what could be the issue? any trouble shooting

 

Sounds obvious, but the the radio is probably going bad. Punching the side (percussive maintenance) has been shown to prolong the usability of your radio, but it's best to keep punching the side of it and saving your money for a new aftermarket radio conversion now.

 

Similar thing happened to me the other day. The radio works still, but the display is out and the AC controls dont respond. Seems to be a common problem.

 

jmink78, your problem is more common than newyorkg35's, but unfortunately, punching it doesn't help much in your case. You're definitely going to have to scrape up what you can for a good aftermarket unit soon.

 

I have this problem too..Its been going on for about two months now..

The AC and the radio randomly turns on and off.

When the radio and AC are off, it turns on by itself and the buttons dont work except for the steering wheel radio controls. And it only turns the radio off, not the AC.

The AC sort of goes into "auto AC" by it self.. It though it was only mine now I feel like I need to get an aftermarket HU and get the JDM kit..
