The only other unusual thing about Infinitis (and Nissans) is that there is a second starter wire - make sure they hook that up as well or you could have intermittent remote start problems in cold weather.
Thanks for another great info...I will make sure I tell the installer...

Ya, i only have one key for my G since I bought it used..

I bought the Xpresskit XK09 if hope that will work..

So, I got the viper 5902 installed using the XK09 module, but my installer was not able to get the door locks working with the 5902. Only the arm and disarm works and the remote start.

Is this something that the XK09 cannot do?

The installer should run wires in to the drivers door for lock and unlock, plain and simple.

A data module will not provide the same dependability as hard wiring the door locks. When it comes to security, at least in my opinion, the door locks should ALWAYS be hard wired. As an added benefit on the G if you hard wire the door locks you also get remote window control. It's really a no brainer....

THanks for your help!

I will go ahead and have him hard wire it.

Edit: How do you go about getting the remote window control?

I just spoke with my installer and he said that it might be an extra work if I have him do the window control. Please let me know so I know how to negotiate with him about the price. Thanks.!

The windows are controlled by extending the triggers on the (-) wires - it is basically no extra work on his part. He should know this already as it should have been listed in the tech info for your car.....

My installer told that he has never done the window control like what you are saying on a G35 but he has done it with other cars so he told me that if it's not gonna ba slot off work, he will do it for free.
How about the trunk release control?

Thats a standard way to control windows on the higher end Nissans since around 2002.

The trunk pop is a standard (-) pulse and shouldn't be an issue to interface with your alarm.

As you can see, When you hunt around for the cheapest price in town you get people that have no idea what they are doing. Im sure if you looked under your dash you would see all the alarm wires hanging aswell.

You get what you pay for

Speaking of that - you should always tell the installer BEFORE you pay that you want to check out the install before they put anything back together. If your installer knows you want to inspect his work before he puts the car back together hopefully he will go the extra mile.

When you inspect the installation you should not be able to see anything when sticking your head up from under the dash - don't let them get away with simply "hiding" the alarm above the black plastic trim piece under the dash!

So I just got everything all working now..

When I went to my installer's shop the other day he was only able to get the remote start working, but he did not hard wire the doors, windows, and trunk.

Now , I just came back from his shop and now everything is all working..

I actually watched him the whole time because I will be upgrading my HU and speakers really soon. He did do everything cleanly. No wires hanging around.

He is only a bit cheaper compared to the rest of the shops here in my area.

Overall I am satisfied with the install.

Thanks a lot for your help Kpierson!!!
