I went to sound advice today. I got something installed!! :P I bet you are all trying to guess what it is huh...... Well i brought my "other" car today and had a V1 installed. Check out the PICS. Its a REALLY FLUSH INSTALL!! So clean and good looking!!!

Does look like a pretty clean / slick install. I'm planning on having Sound Advice do my double DIN / DVD Nav install. Since we both live in Torrance, how long is the drive down there?

 

hum.....its about a good 1 hr drive no traffic driving the speed limit. What navi are you getting done? My car will be down there AGAIN!! during sema week!!

Looks good Ed! How much was the install? I'll be doing that navi/dvd install next month and who knows what else.

Never seen one mounted there before, pretty clean. I still prefer the top of the cluster though. Can't be seen by outsiders and it's in your line-of-sight. I usually drive with my left arm on the door ledge so I would probably end up blocking the view.

Yeah that's the only drawback. It blocks the turn signals and the high beam indicator. I rarely use my turn signals and don't think I've ever used my high beams.

what kind of radars do you guys recommend? I might get one and install there as well.

 

Ed, thanks for the info on the drive time to get down there. I'm pretty much set on getting an Eclipse AVN 2454 for my Nav unit. I'm probably going to be calling Josh down there today to put a deposit down so that they can go ahead and order the unit. My double DIN kit arrived on Saturday [though I wasn't home to sign for it, so I'm going to the post office to pick it up later today]. Hopefully, I can get Sound Advice to work on my car by early November or so.

 

well i reserved some parts of their first week already for my car!! :P SO if your down there, check to see how my car is!!

Seeing how well Ed's G drifts after the install work is a very important part of my "TESTING & QUALITY CONTROL" so if you don't see me and his car there then come over to the track. ;-)

lol... Well, looks like I'm now ahead of schedule! I have an appointment to be at Sound Advice this coming Saturday morning. So I'll certainly check on your car...
