Any interest in this box?

Okay so, i'm thinking about building these boxes, both for coupe w/ and w/o bose. I'm definately doing it for my G but i'm wondering if there would be enough people interested in it for me to produce them for sale?

NO THIS IS NOT A FOR SALE THREAD.

Just trying to get input on the subject....thinking of pricing them around $300 shipped each.....Will be producing both the driver and passenger sides, along with (possibly) a storage unit that sits inside your spare tire to hold your jack and tow tools that are found under the passenger side trunk carpet (i believe BMW does something like this).

Any positive/negative constructive feedback is appreciated

Thanks in advance!

Yes i have talked to BLKSNAKE about using his pictures

The initial build in BLKSNAKE's car had approximately .75 cubic feet. Not sure if it's possible to get any more airspace than that...

here's a link to the details when he first had it built.

Yeah unfourtionately from the pictures its hard to tell. I'm thinking it's without displacement, but until i can tear appart my g and build this box i wont know.

Looking around the trunk of my car i think you could probably squeeze out about 1 cu. ft. (before displacement) out of the area.

Any thoughts regarding the box/price/design/ideas?

I appreciate the offer, i'll keep you posted when the time comes around...I'm planning on getting started on the proto-type this weekend, should hopefully have more information to post after Sunday.

no idea dude..fiberglass has never been my thing.

As far as pricing, not too sure. Only you can put a price on the hard work you do.

I understand that but, if it was up to me i'd charge 900+ because of the pain in the *** it is. However, would i sell any of these boxes? Hell no...have to make the price reasonable to spark interest. However if they sell like hot cakes i might up the price (will probably still keep a driver discount code to get the $300 price)

They'd have to be around the prices of the zen or the 4080.

If it's too high, they'll just go with those 2 boxes

yes sir. That's what i love about the box. Everything fits like factory excluding the passenger side box where you'd have to move the jack and tow tools to another location. Planning on producing a holder for everything that fits inside the spare tire
