ASAP - 2005 G35 sedan OEM Stock Head Unit / Stereo - Non-Bose and non-Nav

I'm in Northern VA - I need a stock OEM head unit for my 2005 g35 sedan that isn't Bose ASAP. Please let me know you're price/condition/location etc. Obviously will pay for shipping if you're not local. PM or email me at rob(underscore)kabob(at)hotmail, will respond ASAP.

Also, I'd be willing to consider complete kits to swap out the old head unit with a new one. Does anybody know if a Bose HU will work on Non-Bose speakers/wiring/etc? Has it been done?

The bose headunit doesn't have an internal amplifier like the non-bose, so you'd have to add an amp at the very least. A small 4-channel amp that accepts balanced signal inputs, and a little bit of wiring would do it, but if you're looking for the cheapest (if unreliable) way to do it is an 05-07 coupe or 05-06 sedan non-bose headunit.

Just remember, that whatever you replace it with is going to be used and have about as much operational time as the one that died in yours, so there's little to no guarantee that whatever you spend putting a factory headunit in is going to last more than a few months. Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll last for years, but I wouldn't bet on it. My '06 already had the radio replaced when I bought it in 2008, and my '05 was having CD read errors.

that's really good advice - thanks a lot!
i'm entertaining the idea of doing an aftermarket replacement but i'm not excited about dishing out $$$ for the installation kit, wiring harness, swi-x, AND the double din.
