viper 5902?

Im about to purchase the Viper 5902.
My car has the I-Key with the turn ****, not the push button.
Would the viper work? I have read that i would need to keep a key in the key slot. Is this true?

I just had the 5902 Installed and I used the expresskit XK09 bypass module so I don't have to keep a key inside the car..note that the XK09 does not control door locks..
Your installer will have to wire it directly..
Also don't forget to have the trunk release and window controls hooked up..these functions come built in with 5902 so no extra module needed..

I dont know what you're talking about. But my oem remote is just push button.

Since I had the 5902 installed I have not tried using the oem remote to control the windows and the trunk.

I dont see any reason why it wouldnt work though. But I dont know any better..

But I've asked around already and everyone said that hooking up the trunk and windows to the 5902 should be included in the installation package (I mean there should be no additional charge by the installer)

Ah ok. Since mine is an 03, I dont have the push button start. I just put the key in and turn to start the engine.

I dont think so because I dont even know what that is. Is it some sort of a key fob that the newer models have?

I only have one key and a remote. I got my G used.

The I-key is a keyless system. U don't even have to take the key out of ur pocket to turn the engine on. Most new car had this system.

I have the 5902 with my intellikey. No 03-07 coupes came with a push button, just the ****, not sure about sedans. All the functions with my intellikey still work, though I never use that key fob anymore. You'll need the bypass module for the remote start, that way, you don't have to leave any keys inside.

I used the ExpressKit XK09 to bypass. Once you remote start the car, you will still have to put the key in and turn the ****. Otherwise the engine will be shut off.

I'm pretty sure I got the xk09 kit too. Since we have the intellikey, we don't have to put anything in, but we do have to turn the **** like two clicks over to the right, I forget what position that is, but it's not all the way. After that, you can just drive off normally. The car will shut off when you press the brakes if you haven't turned the **** to the right position.

--you lose one of your keys if you dont get the bypass...
-what the bypass does is make the car think you have a key in the ignition.
-with it, you dont have to be in the car to auto start it
-you do lose your window function but you can buy something, have it install to work with the viper remote.
- trunk function work with the viper remote but it takes a bit longer to open it.

i have it install on my 04 sedan so yes the 5902 work even if you dont have the push start.
