Im having a problem with my climate control and radio with my 2003 sedan. The air condition stays on as well as the radio but all lights and radio display are off. It turns on maybe once every two weeks and honestly its driving me crazy. I did some research and found out that it was recall back in 2004, so i decided to check if my car had it replaced. I went yesterday and the dealership said the recall was done on my car back in 2004 by the original owner. Ok. So my plan before all this happened was to buy a Alpine or Pioneer Navi unit along with a JDM double din. My question is....If i do this, will it fix the problem??? I asked the same question to the service manager and he said yes it should fix both problems. Any advice or suggestions??? Thanks to all.

Yes, JDM or Metra kit and a DD unit will fix your problem.

You might also try hitting it (no joke)
A good hard tap on the passenger side will sometimes make it act right again.

 

Had this issue in my 03. Heat was stuck on 90 at full blast and radio was stock on. Luckily the steering wheel controls still worked for the radio. Do yourself a favor and do the JDM dash swap and a nice deck. Solves all issues.
