Re: Aftermarket Pioneer NAV

actually thats pretty cheap!

"The Pioneer NAV-SYS900DVD was $1923 US"

The only down-side is that its a double unit, and dont you already have a headunit instead of the bose steve? hmm looks as if you can mount the display on the top where the stock-nav would go, and then the dvd/cd feeder would go where your current head unit is..... man... good luck! Also, make sure you review if that its a good nav unit...same with who makes the maps for that pioneer...because you dont want a shitty nav in there or one thats missing half the streets... you know?

Re: Aftermarket Pioneer NAV

oh ok, i actually thought of that too, but doesnt it have a display too, and probably infrared sensor for remote control, then you'd have to open the dvd thing everytime you want to change stations or something...unless all of its functions can be controlled by the 7" screen, which it sounds like it does, then that'd be ohhhh so sweet! and for less than 2K!

Check this out dude..maybe you've seen it, maybe not.... but for $1500....dam....

Re: Aftermarket Pioneer NAV

i have that exact set up installe din my integra. I LOVE IT! I also have another one sitting in my room waiting to go into the Coupe. I just haven't gotten the nerve to start the install yet. I am afraid it won't fit nicely. I know I want the screen up top where the stock navigation is, and I was thinking about putting hte other unit in the top glove box we have.

Re: Aftermarket Pioneer NAV

wouldn't we need a custom console to even be able to install this head unit?

Re: Aftermarket Pioneer NAV

Hey that computer in the car is helluva option. It's cheaper than putting in a aftermarket nav with waaaaaaaaaaay more features. Anyone doing this soon? ... please post more info to help us out.
