DD Opinion
Whats up guys. I just wanted some input on what you all think is the best (not most expensive) DD unit out there. I'm biased towards pioneer models because of their UI and ease of use. I definitely want BT capability to talk while driving and i believe I want navi. I say believe because I don't have navi in my G but I've had a garmin unit mounted into my cubby area and I kind of miss it being there (recently gave it to my mom), but I'm thinking should I go ahead and get a newer model like the garmin 3790t or just get a DD that comes with navi already? [what else do you guys have in the cubby area where the navi would be?]. Of course the ipod hookup through the back is a must. I have a best buy install guy who usually hooks me up when it comes to buying so I can get a fairly decent deal for any model, so with that being said, what would you guys recommend in the $500-$900 range with all the bells and whistles. I'm trying to keep it under $1k because I still have to purchase the DD kit. Also, are the by-passes sold separately or would the install guy already have the equipment/knowledge to by-pass the system to let me watch dvd's/navi, etc? Which has the best boot-up time and back-up camera capability. Thanks

Yea, that's a given. I'm gonna go cheap on that, the jdm looks far more superior, so I don't mind footing the bill for it.

Z130BT that's due out any week now looks fan-damn-tastic.
But the Z120BT is still very, very good, as is the X920BT.
The X930BT, which is also due out any week now, loses all the voice recognition capabilities, so in some ways, is a downgrade from the X920BT.
So X920BT, Z120BT or Z130BT are the best as far as I'm concerned.
But I did recently find out you can search for artists using their full name with voice recognition on the Kenwood 9960, so that one's right up there with the Pioneer units I mentioned in terms of functionality of voice. But it's still far behind them in the UI.
