little confused & need help on audio advice

Hey,
I'm not very good with audio & the G35 seems complicated enough comparing to all the Hondas I had previously. I plan on installing an old Alpine type R 12'' in my G with stock Bose (premium). I also plan on changing my front door speakers to components and connecting an amp to run them. Maybe some decent speakers for the rear. After looking around the audio section, i'm a bit confused on what products to by and the specs i have to look at before buying.
my question is... can someone give me examples of which products to buy that would be a pretty good match? Also an amp that can be a good match to the Alpine Type R sub?
My price range for the components is probably around $200-300 and the small amp to run them... not sure how much they usually cost. Is there any other products i need to make everything sound properly and good other than speakers, 2 amps, and sub?
Sorry for this long *** essay lol but i'm just trying to be as specific as i can.
Thanks!

If u want it sound clean, the first thing you need to ditch is the headunit. Source is most important & that'll be the weak link if not changed first.

What ohm load is the type r?

I'm not sure what ohm it is. The sub is at my friends house but if possible... what would you recommend if it was a 2ohm & what if it was a 4ohm?
Yeah when i bought my system a while back... the audio place put everything together for me. I sold that amp so that's why i'm not sure what's a good setup to match.

I do plan on getting a double din eventually... it's just too expensive right now so i'm planning to do speakers & sub first.

If it's a dual 2 ohm you can get away with using 1 amp for both sub and speakers

If it's a dual 4, you'll need 1 amp for sub and 1 amp for speakers or 1 5 channel

Thanks for the info! I did not know that about the ohms. Really helpul man! The only thing i know about audio is to match the rms of the amp with the rms of the sub as close as u can to have it sound good.
