Budget System for my Beater
Hey fellas, winter is coming and I am looking for a nice budget system for my winter beater (1991 Volvo 940 Turbo)
I've been shopping around and this is what I came up with for a sub:
I am thinking about getting this in a 12" box for about $200CAD ($150US) off some guy from another forum.
As for the amp, this is what I need help with. sticking with my budget theme, I need something that is powerful enough to give this sub a good run for the money.
I have a crapload of sony points on my credit card, so I was thinking about getting this for free: Xplod XM2200GTX
and should still have enough points for these: 5-1/4 coxials
Basically, budget is my main concern and I am looking at the sony amp because I can get it for free. What I want to know is, has these sony amps gotten better (some people have told me this)? and will this be a good match for the sub?
Obviously not out to win any prizes but don't want things to sound like *** either.
Any advice would be cool.

how much are you willing to spend?
Are you going to install it yourself?

yes, I plan on installing everything myself. I already have a kenwood deck in there btw.
As for budget, I don't have any set amount. just as cheap as possible while sounding half decent. I know that can be very subjective so let's say it needs to be atleast as good as Bose system in the G.
(not very high standards, I know, but atleast we have something common to compare to)
btw, I just heard that Audiobahn sub in the guy's car last night and it is freaking LOUD. I probably don't need anything that loud and the box is huge.
I have another option is a pair of MTX 10" T6104 in a sealed box for same price.
think that might fit in the coupe also, if I ever want to put it in there...
