No, i would never spend 3k on components. Once you get to a certain price point, you're paying for the name.

No purpose is spending 2k+ on some bs 82db efficient 6 1/2 when you can source the raw driver elsewhere and get it for 75% off.

Unfortunatly, I was at a show with a friend who has a tricked out Chrysler 300 with Lambo doors 9I know, I know). He is an audio junkie and spent HUGE money for his Focal speakers. As the show was on a downtown city street, we waited after the show for traffic to clear. He opened all 4 lambo doors and cranked up some Joe Satriani tunes. I walked about 1/2 a block away and with the sound bouncing off the buildings, it still sounded clear and crisp. So, it's all his fault.

I was planning on leaving the rear speakers and connecting them to the new up just as rear fill. I had no idea there are TWO sets of speakers back there. I guess the speakers in the rear deck are "subs".

My question is, which speakers should I use? ( I only have two open channels for the rears). Can I use the Bose woofers in the deck as rear fill? What have you all done?

Thanks as usual.

ditch both sets and bridge your 4 channel to the fronts or use ch 3 & 4 to power a sub

Oh, you're one of those guys.

I'm not sure the speaker I got can handle that much and I always like having some rear fill. I know, many people have explained why I'm wrong on this.

The only thing I have used Bose woofers to fill is a trash can.

Point taken...loud and clear, unlike the speakers.
