Rearview mirror/monitor backup camera system
Rearview mirror/monitor backup camera system
I'm looking for a rearview mirror/backup camera mod that replaces the stock rearview mirror for a 2007 G35. I was thinking the clipon monitor route with a wireless backup camera but I'd like something that replaces the stock rearview mirror. My rear windows are so dark and small, I would like to output an IR wide view camera from trunk height (for fulltime rearview mirror) and a license plate backup camera that is a narrower field of view.
Considering either a full wideview monitor that has wireless control of the backup camera, being able to adjust the view or something that looks clean. Also, what type of camera should I get? Full color with IR or just IR?
Here's how I'm planning to setup my car electronics without alot of different devices. I'll get the Nissan Ipod adapter harness and use my iPhone for MP3's and navigation. I'll buy a navigation app from either TomTom or Garmin. That's 2 functions with one device, then I'll get a backup camera/rearview mirror system.

if your going through with all that trouble why dont you go for a double din setup that takes car of the nav, ipod/radio setup and with aux jacks that would be a nice big screen for the reverse camera. no need to huck around with the rear view
Thoughts?
