i am looking to buy the avn unit.
did a search for this question but could not find so here it goes.
i want to connect my ipod to the avn unit.
do i need the pac-aux #AAI-NIS and the SWI-X unit or just the SWI-X unit.
i do want to control it with my steering wheel.

also everyone with the avn unit--> what else do i need to buy before hand to get it installed.
do i need the wire harness-scosche NNO3?
-->nissan antenna adapter?
any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

also just picked up the 4080 box!
that thing rocks.fit's snug and looks awesome.

I have the AVN 2454 in my sedan, but I did not do the install [Sound Advice installed it], so I don't have an answer to your wire questions. But the AVN does have an aux input, so you could use the standard 1/8" mini-jack to RCA audio breakout cable for your iPod. My steering wheel controls do not work with the AVN.

 

What you'll need:
1) Scosche NN03 harnesses
2) Scosche Nissan Antenna Adapter
3) lots of wire bridges unless you want to twist+tape every connection.
4) JDM Double-Din Dash kit

Optional:
1) pac-audio SWI-X unit. This will allow you to use the steering wheel controls to control any IR function of your headunit (IR=infrared remote control that comes with your AVN)

note: the AVN doesnt come with a remote, its optional... how to program the steering wheel without the remote, i dont know, but my installer had one just lying around and gave it to me for free!
