Nothing special, most amps put out a little more than what the specs say.
Your ears will not notice a 100watt increase.

not that its a 1000w amp but the fact that is outs out like 12-1300 rms and still runs cool and has the ability to do it at 1,2,3, or 4 ohms.
I just have had good expericance with them so im saying

well it wont do 1 ohm and most bench test ive seen show the amp does 1000rms or just a little over.
Late update. Ended up getting an Audioque 2200D instead and have both D4 IDmax's wired to 1ohm.
Big thanks to Kurtis (k67p67) for the help and feed back along the way, as well as Nick (BOXOLOGY)

Go back to the jl
Audioque is cheap china crap.
That extra 1k gives you 3db with a ****load of noise in the signal. Not worth it.

1000/1 is the obvious choice. I have been messing with JL for a long time, 8 years now wow... since i was 13... lol. I have never once had an issue with JL and the 1000/1 pushed my 13W7 with AMAZING power, so i hooked it up to 2 12W7's and STILL pushed the heck out of them... Hooked it up to a Kicker 12 L7 solobaric and maxed it out until i popped the cone...
So it will push whatever you want out of it, just make sure your car can supply the power the amp needs... And those subs you have, are nothing BIG or special, so the 1000/1 is the much better amp by a much more trusted and backed company.
I go for quality, not quantity and pricing. so you get 1,000 more watts? Just because an amp says 2,000 watts doesnt mean its going to give you that much. Some give more and some give wayyy less. I have a 800watt pioneer just to try it out and it couldnt push 1 10W6 for crap.
Its your money, your system. My reccomendation.

I would take an ID max over a w7 any day.
The audioque is a decent amp.
can you please show me how a 1000/1 produces clean watts vs the audioque dirty watts?
I have ran JL stuff in the past and now I wish I would of just saved my money.
its just over hyped "me to" equipment, its the bose of car audio

The audioque isn't that bad. So far so good. i've had JL amp and sub setups in the past. 1000/1 powering 2 10W7's in my prelude, and the last one was a 500/1 powering a single 10W6 before changing to the 2 idmax's.

So, because they didn't work in your application, jl is the "bose" of car audio? Originally Posted by blazeplacid

JL stuff is expensive and overpriced in most situations, but they do make good products. There isn't one shabby amp or sub in their line.
Anywho, what made u go with the audioque anyway op? an extra 1000w gets you next to nothing in output...
Forgot to add, looks like your subs are cancelling each other out.

Decided to give AQ a try after reading that they were decent amps. Nothing special but also not garbage. Seems to be pretty good so far. As for the output, I wasn't necessarily trying to max out each sub, but since I was going to try the AQ amp, might as well 2200D vs the 1200D they have. Originally Posted by eggyhustles

As for the subs cancelling each other, may be. Still sound pretty good regardless, and I wanted the have a setup where I can either maximize room in the trunk, or have the option to remove the subs if I needed to. Im sure a standard rear facing box would of been fine too for both, but probably wouldnt look as clean as the 4080 setup.

Should've just waited for the crescendo's to release. Near identical guts, diff case, much cheaper. Originally Posted by G'duprideR6

yeah man, the Crescendo amps looked really nice too and heard good things about them too. After I play with the AQ a little more, I was even thinking of maybe selling it and picking up the Crescendo BC2000D and giving that a try.Originally Posted by eggyhustles
