Help with non bose sub and amp install

I have been researching on this site for the past hour or so and i have figured out a few things about installing and amp and sub in a non bose 2005 coupe...

I know you have to use a loc converter and some how tap into the rear speakers.

I understand how to run the power wire and how to set up a ground wire. However, i dont understand how exactly to tap into the rear speakers or how to run a remote wire.

Please someone help me out here.

Remove the trim around one of the rear speakers, splice into the wires going to the speaker to get the audio signal for the LOC.

No, you just tie the wires to the exiting wires, forming a Y, so the signal goes to both the speaker and the amp.
