Need Advice for Speaker Setup

Hi Guys,

So I'm looking to upgrade my speakers in the back and my tweeters...

Currently I have:

- Headunit: Stock Non-Bose
- Fronts: Polk DB651 Coaxial Speakers
- Rear: Stock
- Tweeters: Stock

I'm thinking of the following:

- Fronts: Replace Db651 with Polk DB6501 Components
Amazon Amazon

- Rear: Put the DB651 that I had in the front in the rear

- Tweeters: Db1001 Tweeters to replace the stock ones
Amazon Amazon

What do you guys think? Am i missing something? Do the tweeters already come with the DB6501 set so I dont need to buy the Db1001 seperately?

Well, the DB6501s have their own tweeters, so you don't need the db1001s.

I've been debating as well. I think I'm gunna go with JL Audio TR-650CXi's all around and the TR-050CT tweeters. I have a single 10" sub setup, which makes the bass over powering at higher volumes. I don't plan on running an amp with the interior speakers. I believe just a speaker swap will balance the sound. What you mentioned above sounds good. Are you currently running a sub combo at all?

Do you mean the 6501 come with seperate tweeters i can use to replace my stock tweeters? I really want to replace my stock tweeters since they sound like total junk...or do you mean the speakers themselves have seperate tweeters in them? Sorry if its a dumb question, still learning about the diff types of speakers

Also, im not going to get an amp for now until i swap out my headunit for a DD and even then the new headunit would be good enough i think..
